If you have a sincere desire to get closer to God, you may want to consider going to a Bible College. I did and it made a big difference in my spiritual life. Many denominations have their own college. If yours does, consider it. If it is more than you can afford or is too far away or your denomination does not have its own college, consider a small local non-denominational school.
The one I am familiar with is in the New Haven, Connecticut and is called
CHRISTIAN LEADERSHIP BIBLE COLLEGE
It is located at Joy Temple at 424 Howard Avenue (next to the police substation) and meets two Saturdays each month from October to May. It is affordable. The devil is a liar and you can do it. Here is the clincher -- when you walk through the door, you immediately feel the Spirit of God in the House. Pray about it. Seek God's face. He will guide you.
